Daily Eats ~ June 24th

It's that time of the month and I've been having terrible PMS symptoms. :( Last night I got a bad headache that I woke up with this morning-- although I think it's finally going away now (thank God!). Anyways, I'm still stressing over this kitten thing... so again, if you can, please spread the word to everyone you know (in the NY area) about Peanut's sister needing a home! I'd really appreciate it!

Anyways, I thought I'd share some pics my Mom took of me and Peanut last night... he loves to sleep on us, it's so cute!

Breakfast:
I had 2 Van's Belgian Waffles with TJ's Maple Syrup and some strawberries. I topped the waffles with a bit of real whipped cream (I think this is a GREAT alternative to butter! Just as tasty and way less cals/fat!). I also had an Apple & Eve juice box with it.

Lunch:
I had breakfast for lunch! Amy's new Breakfast Scramble Wrap. This was pretty tasty, although a bit dry...

Snack:
I happened to be going by a Jamba Juice this afternoon, and the line wasn't long (for a change!), so I decided to go in. I got a "Aloha Pineapple," minus the bananas (because I hate them! lol). So instead they substituted for more strawberries, which was fine by me! I got a sixteen ounce by the way (which is expensive enough!). It was really good and hit the spot on this very humid day.

When I came home I realized that they didn't offer me a free "boost" like they used to! :( Oh well.

Dinner:
I had my last 2 Tofu Pups wrapped in my last 2 Pillsbury crescent rolls (I had some ketchup on the side for dipping). I made an Annie's single serve Mac & Cheese and added in a single serving packet of Birds Eye Steamfresh Peas. (Sorry the pic came out blurry!)

Peanut eyeing the mac & cheese! :)

Dessert:
I had a chocolate Vitamuffin with Nutella and a single sliced strawberry. (Yes, another blurry picture... wtf is wrong with me?! lol)

Still no word on finding someone to adopt Peanut's sister... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone contacts me though!

I still have no word on whether or not I'll be working at Sephora (or which one) either! And that job interview was over 3 weeks ago. {See here} I did speak to the regional director of Sephora today though, so I guess she's supposed to get back to me soon on where I'll be working (if at all).

And the headache that I told you about earlier did go away, but then along came the cramps! I absolutely hate periods. I know that it's good that I get them again though, because I didn't get them for all of 2007 and some of 2008! The saddest thing of all, is that I didn't know ONE model who had regular periods. There's nothing "natural" about how skinny models are today, folks. I really feel for young girls today, growing up and aspiring to be skinny like them, not knowing what the consequences are. :(

Again, I appreciate the comments, so keep them coming!
xoxo

Daily Eats ~ June 23rd

I just want to make a quick mention about the kitten again! Peanut's sister needs a home, so if anyone in the NY area would like an adorable little orange kitten, please contact me ASAP!

I'd also like to thank Jenny for making a mention of this on her blog for me, and I'd like to thank VeggieGirl, because even though she's here in NY this week on vacation, she's still going to spread the word about Peanut's sister needing a home! So thanks so much guys!!

Breakfast:
I made my Chocolate Dreams Pancakes again. I took 2 Van's Pancakes, spread a thin layer of PB&Co.'s Dark Chocolate Dreams on one, then I made a sandwich of it and topped with blueberries and a drizzle of maple syrup. I also had an Apple & Eve apple juice box with it.

T-Mobile is having issues-- specifically in Greenwich Village, which happens to be where I live! I found this out after spending a frigging hour on the phone with technical support! >:( So the up shot is, since I'm having issues sending pictures, I have no way to get them online at the moment. I will be trying though throughout the day, so bare with me!

Peanut waiting patiently... lol

Luckily, they've seemed to have resolved their issues, so I was able to upload the pics from earlier.

Lunch:
I had 2 Tofu Pups wrapped in crescent rolls with a slice of american cheese halved and wrapped up into the rolls, and I had ketchup alongside. I cut up 2 oranges to have with it as well.

Snack:
I had a $1 off coupon for a Red Mango frozen yogurt, so I went there this afternoon and got a medium sized original with strawberries & granola. As you can see, Peanut got to taste it first! lol

Dinner:
I tried a Birds Eye Steamfresh Shrimp Pasta Primavera entree... for some reason this looked good to me when I saw it in the grocery store today, and I ate most of it (even though I'm not a big fan of seafood-- shrimp is just about the only "meat" I'll eat, and even then I hardly ever have it!)

Peanut woefully looking on as I take a bath. (He even tried to join me! :)

Dessert:
I got these gems at the grocery store today! There are few things I like more than birthday cake ice cream, so I was thrilled to find these Blue Bunny Birthday Party Ice Cream Sandwiches! They are really delicious (and only 160 cals each). I also had a few berries afterwards (not pictured).

Peanut having a good nap after all the excitement from my bath (who knew shaving your legs could be so much fun?! lol)

Again, I appreciate your comments, and thanks so much to those of you who are trying to find Peanut's sister a good home! I really hope there is someone out there who would adopt her. Please contact me ASAP if you or someone you know would like to adopt a kitten!

Daily Eats & Other News! ~ June 22nd

**ADOPT PEANUT'S SISTER!**

I want to make a quick mention of something that's come to my attention... the woman that I got Peanut from cannot keep the one kitten that's left. She already has Peanut's mother and grandmother, and she lives in a one bedroom apartment, so she feels there isn't enough room. The kitten is orange, like Peanut, except without the white, and the kitten is a girl. So if you are in the NY area, and interested, please give me an e-mail at: marinajc@rcn.com. Believe me I wish I could take the other kitten, being that it's one of Peanut's siblings, but it would be too much for Mom and I to take on now. Again, just let me know if you're interested!

Also, I can't do this alone, so I'd appreciate it if you could spread the word on your blogs!!!

The kitten is located in Long Island, NY, but is easy to get to from most areas of NY by taking the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road). So if you know anyone that might want a kitten in the NY area, please contact them for me! :)

Breakfast:
Just a quick breakfast today... a glass of OJ and a Clif Fruit & Nut Bar. I'm going to one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants for lunch, so I want to save room!

Lunch:
I went to Dang Lai Palace, a vegetarian asian restaurant (similar to the Zen Palette that closed in Union Square-- rumor has it that the chef moved to this location, since most of the dishes are exactly the same). I used to come here all the time, because I lived right up the block from them. They are on the east side, at 3rd Ave. & 17th St.

I started with their taro spring rolls...

Then I had their steamed spinach dumplings...

And I finished with a slice of their AMAZING cheesecake.

Dinner:
I had an Amy's Country Cheddar Bowl for dinner.
I also had an orange later (not pictured).

"What's for supper, Mummy?" This is what I call the "meatloaf" position-- cats are known for sitting like this.

Dessert:
Dessert was similar to last night's, except I had a Vitatop instead of a Vitamuffin. I topped it with Nutella and had some berries with real whipped cream alongside.

Just an update on the kitten situation... the woman I adopted Peanut from is waiting on bringing the kitten to the shelter until she hears from me. I hope that there's someone out there in NY that would want this kitten. I can tell you since I've seen it, that the kitten looks exactly like Peanut, except for the white markings-- the whole litter was absolutely adorable! They were all very well taken care of, in excellent health, and the kittens were raised with their mother and grandmother (which is part of the reason why the owner can't keep the kitten-- since she has two cats already to take care of in a small apartment). So if you know of anyone who could help in this situation, please don't hesitate to contact me, as we are running out of time here! Otherwise the kitten will have to be brought to a shelter, after already living for 3 months in a home that she is used to. :(

Let me tell you, there is nothing more precious than a kitten! Peanut has been the greatest joy, and I'm sure his sister would be as well!

Baby Peanut on May 1st 2009.
