Daily Eats ~ November 30th

Decided to do a "daily eats" post today to finish off the month (which flew by!). My personal life has been it's usual chaotic state. If anybody's seen my boyfriend, please let me know! lol In all seriousness though, I barely even have a boyfriend anymore, due to a whole host of problems (much of which that he's created). But in all fairness, this economy is ruining everybody's lives. Men do not do well under financial pressures... as a result, I've gone on the back burner. But enough about my problems... I met a friend for drinks and cheesecake this weekend and I'm happy to report that I'm not eating as healthy as I should, and you know what? I just don't care! And there is truly something magical about not caring. I basically eat whatever I want now and I'm happy with that. I've come along way and I'm proud of that fact. :)

Breakfast:
I had some orange juice and 3 of these adorable mini chocolate chip muffins that I got on sale at the Whole Foods Market this week!

Lunch:
I was in the mood for a nice omelette, and went to a famous restaurant downtown called Jane (on West Houston St.). I got an egg white omelette with a side of toast. It was good, but I was a little thrown by the goat cheese that they put in it... I'm not really a fan I suppose. lol Next time I have to try their french toast, which I hear is excellent!

Snack:
Ok, so it's not quite Christmas yet! But December is already upon us, and I found this chocolate Santa while I was browsing CVS today. I had it after lunch, as I didn't eat much of the omelette.

Later on I had a strawberry Wallaby organic yogurt with some Kashi GoLean Honey Almond Flax cereal on top.

Dinner:
Mom and I got a pizza from Pomodoro's. They are famous for their vodka sauce, so we tried their vodka pizza. It was good, but I think I still prefer their regular that I've gotten a few other times at the restaurant (you can see the difference between the slices here).

Dessert:
Ok kids, this is the real deal. I'm obsessed with these Betty Crocker Warm Delight bowls! And their new one, creamy chocolate cake is HEAVEN. Enough said!

Peanut has been getting into EVERYTHING lately and last night he broke the cute owl salt shaker that I got for my Mom. Speaking of which, does anyone want to adopt him?! lol Just kidding of course, he's my fluffy little boy.

Daily Eats ~ August 1st

Late last night I posted the FAQ's, which you can see in the post below. Again, if you have any questions that are not addressed in the FAQ's, e-mail them to me and I'll add them to the post! I've also decided to remove the "Adopt Peanut's Sister!" note (that was on the right side of the blog), because I haven't heard from the woman I got Peanut from in a while, so I assume she must have found a home for Peanut's sister (or is in the process). As you probably noticed, I decided to go back to the original format... I realized that I'd have over 100 posts a month if I posted each meal separately, so it's best just to do it this way and keep all the comments on one thread! Anyways, on to...

Breakfast:
I had 2 De Wafelbakker's organic blueberry pancakes, topped with fresh blueberries, real maple syrup, and dollops of whipped cream. I had a glass of orange juice with it (not pictured).

Lunch:
I decided to have a do-over of yesterday's lunch. I made my "vodka" english muffin pizzas using a Rudi's Organic whole wheat english muffin and topping it with Muir Glen's vodka pasta sauce and Organic Valley part skim mozzarella. But this time I also added a pinch of garlic and oregano before topping it with the cheese (to give it more flavor), and I toasted the english muffin a bit first. It came out much better this time. I also had some orange slices with it.

I was still quite hungry after lunch, so to get more calories I had a Trader Joe's 100 calorie milk chocolate bar (not pictured today - see yesterday's post).

Peanut eyeing my lunch...

and taste testing the pizza (he gives it two paws up! lol).

I'm watching QVC's "Super Saturday" that's live from the Hamptons. It's a big shopping extravaganza that takes place every year in the Hamptons to raise money for ovarian cancer research. I hope I can go to that event one day! Is anyone else watching it?

Snack:
I had the other half of my Whole Foods granola bar with a Wallaby Organic strawberries & cream yogurt. (I can never even finish HALF of one of these granola bars. They are very filling!)

Dinner:
I had a Morningstar Farms mushroom lover's burger on a Rudi's Organic whole wheat bun, with a slice of american cheese and ketchup alongside. I made some organic french fries and a Birds Eye Steamfresh mini corn on the cob to go with it! (How cute are those mini corn on the cobs?!)

Dessert:
I had an assortment of desserts tonight! I had one of my beloved VitaBrownies with a Smart One's Chocolate Eclair (these are SO good and were on sale this week ;).

Here's a pic I took of Peanut lounging on Mom tonight... he loves his cuddles! :)

Daily Eats ~ July 31st

Luckily I was able to sleep later than yesterday! When I got up I made one of my favorites-- Nutella french toast! It really tastes like something you'd get for brunch at a fancy restaurant. I also want to remind everyone that I'll be posting whatever FAQ's I get tomorrow. So if you have any questions for me, now's the time to ask! Send them to: marinajc@rcn.com or post your FAQ in the comments section. :)

Breakfast:
I took 2 slices of Trader Joe's french toast, spread a thin layer of Nutella on one of the slices, made a sandwich out of it, then I cut it in half and topped with a drizzle of maple syrup and berries. I also had an apple juice box with it (not pictured).

Peanut's morning nap...

Lunch:
I've been seeing these on lots of other blogs recently, so I decided to make them again... english muffin pizzas! But mine have a twist... I made english muffin VODKA pizzas!! I took a Rudi's Organic whole wheat english muffin and topped it with Muir Glen's new vodka pasta sauce and some Organic Valley part skim shredded mozzarella. These came out pretty good in the toaster oven, although next time I'll toast the english muffins first to make them crispier! I had some orange slices alongside.

I also had a Trader Joe's 100 calorie milk chocolate bar after lunch...

Snack:
I had a Clif Mojo Dipped PB & J Bar (personally I think this one is FAR superior to the new PB & J Larabar... but to each their own!).

Dinner:
I had 2 of Trader Joe's Vegetable Egg Rolls with some of Trader Joe's Vegetable Fried Rice (this has been a very Trader Joe's themed day... lol). I just added in some of my own soy sauce to complete the meal.

Dessert:
I had my other Trader Joe's Chocolate Lava Cake (they come in a package of 2, and I had so many other Trader Joe's products today, I thought, why not?!). I tried to show feature the "lava" part in the picture. :) I also had some berries and whipped cream alongside like usual.

I have my FAQ list almost complete... so if you have any other questions for me about my blog, ED questions, Peanut questions, or anything else, feel free to ask away!

I'll leave you tonight with a picture of Peanut "on the prowl." (Notice the flattened ears... lol)
