Daily Eats ~ July 9th

I'm going to the Whole Foods Market downtown today to stock up on a few things, and I'll be going to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch, Wild Ginger (so stay tuned for that later!).

Breakfast:
I had a small breakfast today since I'll be eating lunch out. Just a Van's Belgian Waffle with a bit of maple syrup, a couple of strawberries, and a dollop of whipped cream, with a glass of Minute Maid orange juice (which is not nearly as good as Tropicana, btw).

Where's Peanut? :)

Tearing a hole through a Trader Joe's bag, that's where!

Lunch:
I went to my beloved Wild Ginger. I am SO going to miss this place whenever I leave the city. It is seriously the best asian restaurant I've ever been to!

I had some of their delicious spring rolls to start.

Then I had their steamed vegetable dumplings.

I decided to get their pineapple fried rice to go, and have the whole thing for dinner tonight-- I can hardly wait!! Look at how lovely they packaged it up for me! :)

I got quite a few goodies at the Bowery Whole Foods Market. Including some De Wafelbakkers whole grain blueberry pancakes (I'm hoping I'll like these better than their french toast, but they looked so tasty I had to try them!), Naked Juice (on sale), berries, Amy's pizza and bowls, plus a delicious cookie that I'll be having later, along with their vegan pineapple upside down cake, yogurt (sadly they didn't have pineapple Chobs, but I did get peach!), and some Kashi GoLean Crunch.

Snack:
I had the incredibly delicious chocolate chip cookie that I was telling you about earlier, that I got from the Whole Foods Market. I forgot to get milk, so I just had it plain. Oh well!

I also had a small bowl of Goldfish crackers that Peanut was more than happy to help me eat!

Dinner:
I heated up my pineapple fried rice from Wild Ginger. It made a huge plateful, but surprisingly I was able to eat most of it. It is that good! This is the healthiest fried rice on the planet too with tofu, protein powder, pineapple, avocado, and tons of other veggies! I just added a bit of my own soy sauce to it.

Dessert:
I had a piece of vegan pineapple upside down cake that I got from the Whole Foods Market today. It seemed fitting since I had my pineapple fried rice for dinner! Both my dinner and dessert prove that vegan food can be healthy and delicious! :)

I'm a little anxious tonight, because my Grandpa is having surgery early tomorrow morning. This surgery is to repair a heart operation he had back in 2005, when he nearly died. Since my Grandparents live over 3 hours away in Upstate, NY, I'll be waiting for the phone call to see how he's doing... anyways, if you can, say a quick prayer. Thanks!

peanut! I am a fan of him/her :)

We have a farmers market I need to go to, I always end up at the chain stores. Their produce is never as good.
