Daily Eats ~ June 3rd

Today I'm going to the Whole Foods Market downtown. I would live at this place if I could. It is that awesome. I'm also going to stop to have lunch in one of my favorite vegan restaurants in NYC. So look out for that post later!!

Breakfast:
A Naked Juice "Bare Breeze" Peach Mangosteen Bliss Juice with a Kashi Peanut Butter Granola Bar. I can't tell you how much I love this juice. It's so good for you and contains peaches, apples, mangosteen, and white grapes. The Kashi bar is VERY chewy though. Almost too chewy, so I like to microwave it first on a plate or paper towel.

Lunch:
I had lunch at Wild Ginger, a wonderful pan-asian vegan restaurant on Broome St. in Soho/Little Italy. I know a few of my blog's readers will be coming to NYC this summer. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you MUST go to this place. It's amazing!! Anyways, here's what I had:

I started off with the spring rolls. These are SO good, and the sauce they give you with it is amazing as well.

Next, I had the steamed vegetable dumplings. Don't let the green color scare you! These are seriously the best steamed dumplings I've ever had in my life!

Finally, I had their pineapple fried rice. Now I know that fried rice as a rule isn't healthy. But this has to be the healthiest AND tastiest fried rice on the planet. It has tofu and avocado, among other veggies in it, plus it's topped with soy protein powder (which you can't even taste, but it's so good for you!). And the pineapple makes this fried rice extra special... it gives it an amazing flavor! They give you a big portion, so I always just eat some there and take the rest home (they package it up very nicely for you!).

Snack:
Since I had a big lunch I just had a Clif Mojo Dipped PB&J Bar... one of my all-time favorites!

Dinner:
I decided to have a Knorr "Sides Plus Veggies" Cheddar Cheese Pasta side that I had left in the cupboard. It's like a healthier version of macaroni & cheese because it has 2 full servings of veggies per pouch, with broccoli and carrots mixed in. I also sliced up a Lightlife Jumbo Smart Dog to go with it.

I put out a side of ketchup to have with my veggie dog incase I wanted it, but Peanut did instead!

Dessert Snack!
I had a Wallaby Organic Dark Chocolate Yogurt along with some Trader Joe's Low Fat Granola with Almonds and a few berries on top. Yummy! (On a side note, have any of you tried Wallaby's new "Down Under" yogurts? I have tried them all now and think they're fantastic!)

And here are some pictures of Peanut's day...

Peanut monkeying around this morning on my computer desk... He likes to squish himself onto the keyboard desk (the pull out shelf that he's on).

Peanut's afternoon nap.

Again, I appreciate your comments! I'm still new to the whole blogging thing, but I'm enjoying it so far!
